Quick answers for parents
My child isn’t a confident footballer. Will they fit in?
Yes. Matico Fun Days are designed to be fun, welcoming, and inclusive for all players. Sessions are grouped by age and ability, with coaches focused on building confidence, enjoyment, and smiles throughout the day. Most children who arrive nervous in the morning usually do not want to leave by the end of the session.
Can siblings attend together?
Yes. We offer a 10% sibling discount for the second child. Siblings will train within their correct age groups while remaining at the same venue for easier drop off and collection.
How are players grouped?
Players are grouped by age, ability, confidence level and football experience. This helps ensure players enjoy competitive but positive football environments suited to their stage of development.
Are coaches qualified and DBS checked?
Yes. All staff are UEFA/FA qualified or experienced football coaches who are DBS checked, safeguarding trained, and first-aid qualified.
Will Premier League scouts be there?
Premier League academy scouts and football observers may attend selected events. Scout attendance does not guarantee trials or club opportunities.
What should players bring?
Players should bring football boots, shin pads, a water bottle, suitable football clothing, and a positive attitude and energy.
How do I book?
Simply register your interest or complete the booking form on the website. Families will then receive event information, confirmation details, and any important updates before the event.
Will there be prizes and competitions?
Yes. Sessions include fun football competitions, mini tournaments, challenges, player awards, and prizes throughout the day.
